In a recent hearing on the trade court on a case filed by Consumer Protection Authority, it is revealed that the Edna Chocolates also is contaminated with the controversial 'Melamine' regina.
Melamine is a powder which has no special taste difference and almost compiles the same atomic structure of a typical protein found in the milk powder.
Eventhough This chemical is almost identical to the common milk powder, it is deadliest to the human kidneys.
In recent incidents, there were almost 2000 kids of chinese teritory has been died with the infection of this melamine and chinese authority ceased several milk containing products made from chinese milk industry.
Edna seems to have imported several metric tons of chinese milk powder and is surrended by the Consumer Protection Authority which were sent to Singapore for further testing.
Today it has reveled that the tests made on the sample are contains melamine and the products made by those milk should contain them too.
The case is post poned for the verdict on 24th Oct and an interrim order was issued against Edna group for manufacturing chocolate products altogether.
